Plan to find your pal, have lunch, and visit with your new found friend. You might even like to play a game. When most are present we will introduce our pals and take pictures for the family photo album. Don’t miss the fun!

SAVE THE DATE April 29 - Join us as we ROCK THE HOUSE for Habitat for Humanity.  This Day will be designed so all children and youth can help. Children will be making and decorating flowerpots, planting flowers and helping with simple landscaping. Older youth will be making picnic tables and landscaping and putting finishing touches on the houses. Sign ups are on the Social Action table and the RE table. Be sure to pick up waiver sheets when you sign up. Cindy will be sending in registration on April 16.

We ARE Putting Love Into Action!

Thanks SO MUCH for the 67 pledges received so far for the upcoming year! If you have not returned your completed pledge, do not be surprised if you receive a friendly telephone reminder this Sunday from the Stewardship committee. If you pledged last year you should have received a packet in the mail with a personalized letter showing your previous pledge. The goal is to increase pledging by 7% this year, to support the ministerial search and our fine staff, as well as the ongoing and planned programs here at UUCUC. There also are blank forms available at the Hub table in Fellowship Hall.

THANK YOU to our Hospitality Team B for their hard work and dedication in February. We cannot do it without you!

Cracking the Code: The System of Racial Inequity.  From director and educator Shakti Butler, comes a new film that asks America to talk about the causes and consequences of systemic inequity. The film features moving stories from racial justice leaders, including Amer Ahmed (hip-hop activist, spoken word poet, diversity consultant and college administrator) and Michael Benitez (national social justice educator and activist-scholar). English, 2017, 75 mins.
Our shared offering for March is Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County. From their website: Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County and ReStore is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry that works to eliminate poverty housing and to make adequate housing a matter of conscience and action.  Habitat welcomes partners from any faith – or no faith tradition – who are willing to help improve the lives of families needing safe and affordable housing. Habitat serves people regardless of race or religion.  By the end of the year, 77 families in our area will have purchased simple, decent, affordable homes through Habitat. Our church has supported Habitat financially and through volunteer work crews for many years. We expect to again organize work crews for some of the spring/summer build dates. But, during March please give financially to this worthy charity.

Ensuring Snacks For All

Please remember to take single portions of snacks at the hospitality table to ensure those who come late to hospitality (RE teachers, those speaking to the minister after the service, and those who take a little longer to transition from the sanctuary to Fellowship Hall) will have snacks to enjoy as well. Remind others in your family of this "snack table etiquette".  Thank you!

Our next Circle Supper is Saturday, March 11th. Deadline to sign up is THIS Sunday! Get more information and sign up at the Hub Table in Fellowship Hall after services - you can sign up for one supper, or as many as you want to in the next year. Got questions?
