Children are welcome at the Service AUUction this Saturday, April 15. There will be childcare with special games including Rocket ball with prizes, watching a movie (Mouse Hunt or Zootopia), crafts and just chillin’ out.

Calling all children, it is time for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at UUCUC.
Gather on Sunday by the back step railing in the fellowship hall for some simple directions from Cindy, who will be wearing carrot bunny ears. Then it is off for the hunt!  Be sure to bring your own basket.

This Sunday is the last day to sign up for UUCUC “Rockin’ the House” Habitat for Humanity project for children and families, when we will make flowerpots, picnic tables, and do some landscaping for two new houses. Sign up sheets are on the RE table and social action table. Cindy will be making the reservations with HH on Sunday afternoon.

Summer camp UUCUC style is just around the corner.
We will be traveling 'Around the World in Five Days', visiting London, Paris, Egypt/India, Japan/China, and Boston, MA. Sunday is the last day for church members to have priority registration. The cost is still $25/camper until April 30th, starting May 1st, the price will increase to $75/camper. There are spaces available with 6 church members and 4 non-church members on the waiting list. Contact Cindy Wakeland to sign-up!

Looking for something new? Want to renew? Then join the RE committee, or a teaching team. Visit the RE table for more information.

Q  & A Session
Sunday, April 23rd at 12:30 PM in Children's Chapel
A budget for the coming year is being proposed. This is a chance for you to be informed, get engaged, and spend some quality time with two of our finance committee rock stars - the ever astute Amy Robison and the candid and congenial Todd Kinney. Please come join us for finance facts after the partner churches brunch.
David Roth Concert - HELP NEEDED!
We need people to bring desserts and to help with the clean-up for the David Roth coffeehouse in Fellowship Hall on Friday, April 21. Can you commit to one or more of these tasks? There is a sign-up sheet in Fellowship Hall - please add your name or email Jim Hannum and he will add your name for you!
LOST AND FOUND, PART TWO
It turns out that right next to our usual lost and found, to the left of the door to the men’s bathroom in Fellowship Hall,  is another lost and found, specifically coming from our church kitchen.  Here are some of the things just waiting for you to claim them. ( As usual, if they are not picked up in a month or two, they will be cleaned and donated.): thermal coffee cup, artificial flowers,  white china plate w/flowers, blue stoneware plate, red gingerbread man plate,  and assorted Christmas themed plates, etc.  Thanks for your attention,  Maryly Crutcher
Circle Suppers 2017 - Sign up this Sunday!
Get to know other UU Members & Friends over a casual potluck meal!  Circle Suppers are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month in a UU member or friend’s home. They are intergenerational and welcome families with children, couples, and singles in a relaxed setting. Get more information and sign up at the Hub Table in Fellowship Hall after services—you can sign up for one supper, or as many as you want to in the next year.  You can also contact Sara Schumacher or Nancy Dietrich to sign up or for questions.
EVENTS
Service AUUction is this Saturday!
Please join us on Saturday, April 15th, starting at  4:30  for this year's Service AUUction. Your paid admission gets you appetizers, dinner, dessert, and an open bar, plus the ability to purchase any number of exciting, fun, and in some cases even useful services, all while benefiting our church, for whom this is the biggest fundraiser of the year. Though it is "officially" too late to buy your tickets at the advance price of $10.00/person and $25.00/family, if you send us an email by the end of TODAY at auction@uucuc.org letting us know that you're coming, we can still get you in at the discounted price. Tickets at the door will be $12.00/person and $30/family.

In the weeks leading up to the auction we've been featuring an "Auction Item of the Week". This week, however, we will just refer you to the entire catalog of 114 or so donations which can be found in its almost complete state at the Service Auction web site . Everything from parties to deluxe desserts to handyman services to jewelry creation is there for you to bid on. And, though it is too late to get new items into the catalog, we can still accept donations if they are emailed to us by  today!

We would also welcome more volunteers to help the evening go smoothly. Thank you to everybody who responded to last week's special plea; we are in much better shape now. However, we could still use some data entry elves if your interests and talents flow that way.

We're looking forward to seeing you  on Saturday  for what is shaping up to be an epic "CrUUise Around the World"!

David Roth performs Friday, April 21 at 7 pm, Fellowship Hall

Come for fun, awesome music, and treats! Folk singer/guitarist David Roth (www.davidrothmusic.com) will present family-friendly songs and stories. David has a mellow voice and is an award-winning performer. This coffeehouse event includes a warm-up act by our own UU Band! $10 per-adult suggested price (80% for Roth, 20% UUCUC); children free.

SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, June 3, 7 pm.  Summer coffeehouse and farewell to Joanne Giannino.

Partner Church Indian Brunch

Please join us on Sunday, April 23, 2017 after worship for a scruptious Indian brunch hosted by the Partner Church Committee. During the brunch, we will conduct a fun trivia game about the culture, geography and history of India.

The questions for this week is: What are the two large Rivers that flow into Bangladesh?

Stay tuned for the trivia answers revealed on April 16, 2017.
We are looking to add to our list of Building Hosts. Would you be interested in making some extra cash? Contact Rosalyn Maziarka at admin@uucuc.org, for more information.
