3RD ANNUAL CHEF-A-THON results are in and the WINNER is....
Alex stiring the vegetables
Dexter mixin' up the ice cream
Alex Negromo-Osagie (above left photo) was voted Best Chef by Judges and Peers at the 3rd Annual Chef-A-Thon. His winning dish was a vegetable stir-fry with special sauce made mole style with his secret ingredient of chocolate chips.

Second place went to Dexter Lokshin (above right photo) for his vanilla peppermint, whopper (chocolate covered malted milk balls) ice cream with a secret ingredient of Greek seasoning added in. You'll never know what can happen with a little creativity!  (Secret ingredients were chosen and put in brown paper bags by Host Cindy Wakeland and secretly picked by the chefs).

An all-volunteer, "collectively-run, community-oriented publication" running on a shoestring budget, we are local authors providing a forum "for topics underreported and voices underrepresented." Every article promotes social justice by valuing diversity, fighting injustice, and promoting equality.

Money from UUCUC's shared offering will entirely towards publication costs, approximately $300/issue. The Public i does not run ads, and all labor (editing, distributing) is volunteer-donated.
