** The Congregational Meeting for UUFF members will be held in the Sanctuary directly following the 11am service on 12/8. Members, PLEASE attend and cast your vote. We need a quorum in order for the vote to count. Though only members can vote, ALL are welcome to attend the meeting. **

10am Sunday Adult Religious Education (ARE) options:
ARE Discussion Group: Meets downstairs in common room. Topic: "The Importance of Being Vulnerable." Researcher Brené Brown says that losing our tolerance for vulnerability has negative consequences. We'll see a video of one of her talks about the topic this week.

Meditation will be held at 10:00, followed by a short reading and discussion between 10:30-
10:45. It doesnʼt matter what type of meditation you do, or if you have ever meditated before, you
are welcome to come meditate in the UUFF Annex building (across Storer from UUFF in the west-
nearest Storer-side of the annex). ALL ARE WELCOME. Enter through the front door.

10am RE for kids 5+ continues today! All are invited to meet in room 4 downstairs (note new location!) at 10am for Religious Exploration, before rejoining adults for the 11 o’clock service. This week in Children’s Religious Exploration, we continue to examine what it means to be a people of AWE. We learn about the skill and practice of slowing down and noticing what is around us. We explore the amazement when time slows down.

UUFF Cares Updates
Note from Sue Coppernoll:
Please let folks know I'm on the mend and appreciative of all the kindness shown me, Dean, Kelly, Lee, and the entire Copper Clan, now numbering 23 souls. The love and support shown us throughout this ordeal will forever be remembered and held sacred. Thank you. I'm taking one day at a time, paying attention to my health which I often neglected, and learning to receive help in the loving manner in which it is offered. Love, Sue

Joyce Mendenhall thanks everyone for the special rocks, stones, and cards with well-wishes that she has received thus far. If you haven't yet had a chance to get your stone and note to Joyce, that is just fine, as this is an ongoing caring project. If you want to drop the stone off to Joyce at home, that is great. Just call her first at 479-466-7265 to make sure she is available. Thanks again to all!

Please continue to keep Nancy McShane in your thoughts and hearts as she continues with cancer treatments. Cards can be sent to: 3524 N. Dustin Way / Fayetteville, AR 72703.

Please also keep Jack and Jan Groh in your thoughts, as Jack remains in need of medical care. Cards can be sent to: 330 E. Fairway Lane / Fayetteville, AR 72701

It's time to clean-up of UUFF's adopted portion of the Fayetteville Razorback Greenway Trail! All are invited to meet at UUFF this Friday, December 6th at 10am to carpool/caravan to clean-up site . We love our trail, so let's do our part to keep it clean and safe! Wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfy shoes. Please contact Mike McMullin ( mocmyc@msn.com) with any questions you might have. THANKS!
UUFF Members and Friends, IT'S NOT TOO LATE! If you haven't gotten a chance to turn in your 2020 pledge form, PLEASE do so.

We need to know what we are working with to continue the budget planning for next year and are counting on you to keep this unique, wonderful community going! Thanks to those who have already turned in pledges and thanks in advance to you who WILL yet!

Compassion Fayetteville is challenging community faith groups and non-profits to participate in a National Compassion Tree Planting Project, and UUFF has taken up the challenge!
We have set a goal to purchase and plant 100 trees. The trees are just $10 each, and a variety of native trees and bushes will be provided by the city's Urban Re-Forest Project in March. This is an exciting and important opportunity to actively practice our 7th UU principle: "Respecting the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part."

Each of you is invited to sign up HERE to be a part of this wonderful project!
"Writing as a Spiritual Practice" Group will continue to meet at the home of Sue Coppernoll on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, from 7-8:30pm, with the next gathering on 12/15. Please email Sue at starbrst@cox.net for details and directions. All are welcome!
Want to help a child in need have a happy holiday season? Here is your chance!

THIS Sunday, December 8th, look for the UUFF "Gift Tree" in the foyer or sanctuary. By then, it should be adorned with several numbered tags listing info (age, gender, gift preferences) for children of our NWA community who are in need. The gifts will be due back the NEXT SUNDAY, December 15th , so that they can be distributed out to the families. Please attach clear indication of which tag # they are for when you turn them in.

Also, the Project Play team who came to talk to us back in September will be traveling back to the border in Deming, NM this Holiday Season, and they are collecting small toys (so as to fit the maximum amount in the trailer) to share with the families in immigration camps there. They are also collecting travel-size toiletry items. These are due by Sunday, December 15th.
The Children's Religious Exploration class is starting a new curriculum that will take us all the way through June. It is through the Soul Matters Sharing Circle. You can find more information about them at soulmatterssharingcircle.com. Each month we attempt to answer the question of, "What does it mean to be UU?" in the sense that we are people of AWE (December's focus), INTEGRITY (January), RESILIENCE (February), WISDOM (March), LIBERATION (April), THRESHOLDS (May), and PLAY (June). All children ages 5 to 11 are encouraged to join us each Sunday from 10-11, downstairs in Room 4.
For Immediate Hire: UUFF is seeking a qualified part-time Nursery Care Provider, at least 21 years of age, to join our dedicated Childcare Team. If you or anyone you know is interested in this rewarding paid position, please email uuff.ar@gmail.com for more information or to request an application!
