UUFF eNews - Week of March 5, 2026

Sunday 11am Service

Sunday, March 8th, 11am: "Religion and the Founding Fathers." As the United States celebrates its 250th birthday, this is a good time to look at what our founders thought about religion and the separation of church and state. What were their religious beliefs? Did they see the U.S. as a Christian nation? Join us Sunday as Dr. Gene Vinzant explores the history of “Religion and the Founding Fathers.”

Just a friendly reminder that Daylight Saving begins this weekend, so we will "Spring forward" an hour on Sunday morning.

You can attend this service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Time (CT) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/19A84UUQtm/ and click on "Watch Live Video. A Facebook account is not required for viewing.

Head's up that we will be Sharing the Plate with New Beginnings NWA on Sunday, March 29th! 100% of loose collection plate cash and any specially designated (please write "share plate" on cash envelope or check memo line) will be donated to this wonderful community organization, which is dedicated to "building neighborhoods that end homelessness." Sunday 10AM Religious Exploration Hour

Mindful Discussions for Adults - held in the Downstairs Common Area

Topic this Sunday: "Social Trust in America." Social trust seems to be rooted partly in personal experience. People learn to trust others based on how they themselves have been treated. But scarring events that reduce trust – like losing a job or experiencing discrimination – may happen to people in some groups more often than others, leading to differences in trust across society. A recent Pew Research study examines trust in America today. Join us.

We are excited to welcome children and youth ages 5+ to participate in Religious Exploration at UUFF! Classrooms are downstairs and have signs to direct participants.

UUFF Events, Announcements & Opportunities

UUFF's Web of Life Nature-based Spirituality Group will meet this Sunday, 03/08, at 12:30pm in the Sanctuary. All are welcome!

This month's Web of Life meeting will center around how to build a Pagan practice. We will share how to discover and incorporate new practices as well as the art of developing a personalized practice/tradition that works well for the individual practitioner.

Important Volunteer Opportunity

UUFF has a small, dedicated childcare staff, and once in a while, we need an extra hand. We're gathering a list of volunteers who are interested in occasionally assisting staff in the Nursery/Playroom on Sundays if needed. We encourage anyone with childcare experience, especially parents participating in UUFF's childcare programming, to join this volunteer list.

If you are interested, please reach out to our Operations Manager, Christina, at opsmanager@uufayetteville.org for more details.

UUFF will host a "Being UU" Class on Sunday, March 22nd, from 12:30-2:30pm in the Sanctuary!

Whether you are in the process of becoming a UUFF member or are simply interested in learning more about Unitarian Universalism and the UU Fellowship of Fayetteville, this is the class for you! Registration is required, so please use the link below to submit the form no later than noon on March 20th. A light lunch will be provided, and childcare is available upon request.

Please CLICK HERE to register.

Celebrate Earth Week with us! The Interfaith Climate Alliance is giving away free native trees to members of participating faith communities. You may request one or two trees (if you would like more, use the "other" line on the form) and rank your preferred varieties. Trees will be distributed at UUFF and other congregations on April 19th.
