Sunday 10AM Religious Exploration Hour

Mindful Discussions for Adults - held in the Downstairs Common Area

Topic this Sunday: "How America Got Mean." David Brooks, author and regular contributor for the New York Times and PBS, thinks that we have a culture that is devoid of moral education causing generations to grow up morally inarticulate and in a self-reverential word. Over the past decade, he has studied the thoughts of various social observers who have offered explanations on the rise of hatred, anxiety, and despair in our country. Join us to discuss his take on the issue.

We are excited to welcome children and youth ages 5+ to participate in Religious Exploration at UUFF! Classrooms are downstairs and have signs to direct participants.

UUFF Events, Announcements & Opportunities

We are sorry to inform the congregation that the very talented Jori Costello, who has been one of our accompanists/song leaders for the past 5 years, is resigning her position at UUFF. However, she is still a UUFF member, so you can expect to see her around! Jori, thank you for your years of excellent service!

All are invited to the annual UUFF Halloween Bash TOMORROW eve!

We’ll start off with Trunk-or-Treat at 6pm in the parking lot (please bring individually wrapped candy if you wish to be a part of the providers), then move inside to enjoy a Ghoulish Potluck (bring your favorite dish to share), and finally we’ll have a fun costume-rich dance party, with music by DJ Jori (bring your best and/or worst dance moves)!

This event is super fun….for ALL AGES. Costumes are highly encouraged. See you there!

Winter Wear items are being collected at UUFF for community donation through Sunday, November 9th!

The chill of winter is creeping in, and UUFF is once again serving as a community collection point for donations of winter wear for children, youth, and adults in need.

Please bring your donations of new or gently used winter wear items like coats, jackets, warm hats, scarves, gloves, etc. and place them in the large labeled box in the UUFF lobby. You can't miss it!

A community volunteer will come and pick up the box after the November 9th service, so please make sure to drop off any donations before that point. Thanks for sharing the warmth again this winter season!

UUFF's 2026 Stewardship Pledge Drive is on!

UUFF Members and Friends, you should be proud. Each of you is an essential part of something important and special, collectively sustaining this living, breathing haven of true liberal religion, with love at the center of all we do. Let's keep the UUFF lights on and burning bright for all to see as we head into the new year.

Members and Friends, if you haven't already done so, please take a minute to fill out your 2026 Membership Pledge Form and turn it in to the office. There are hard copies in the lobby, or you can CLICK HERE to access it online.

Thank you.
