Dr Chris Caplinger
Dr. Caplinger is an historian of the American South and post-Civil War race relations. He has written about racial terror lynchings and co-chaired the Statesboro-Bulloch County Remembrance Coalition, which erected a marker recently at City Hall memorializing the victims of local lynchings. He will speak about the challenging but deeply meaningful work of community memorialization.
