Love Notes From God:

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to receive a personal love letter from God? A message that cuts through the noise of life, speaks directly to your heart, and reassures you of your worth, purpose, and place in this world? We’re about to dive into a series called "Love Notes from God", exploring the four greatest things God has ever said to humans.

We’ll explore:

  • I love you
  • I am with you
  • Do not be afraid
  • You can always come home

These aren’t just words from ancient times; they’re living messages meant to speak directly into our lives today, no matter where we’re at on our spiritual journey. Whether you're new to church or just curious about what Christianity has to say about life, love, and purpose, this series is for YOU. Join us for four weeks in January to consider these timeless truths that have the power to make all the difference.

Week Five Devotional Guide:

A Midwinter Study with Lisa Frost:

A Midwinter God, Encountering the Divine in Seasons of Darkness

By: Christine Valters Paintner

The winter is the perfect time to sink into a time of reading, writing, and deep conversation with others on topics of darkness and unknowing. This is not depressing work! We will consider where we are in the world, where God meets us, and use creative ways to consider questions that might be transformative.

There will be two opportunities to participate. The first is an in-person meeting on Mondays at UUMC from noon until 1 p.m. (welcome to bring a brown bag lunch), and the second is a Zoom group on Thursdays at noon CST. Groups will begin the week of January 13th and conclude the week of February 17th. The book is available on Amazon and with other book retailers. This study is facilitated by Lisa Frost, Certified Spiritual Director.

Register by clicking the button below, visiting UUMC on the Church Center App, or emailing Lisa Frost at lisajfrost@gmail.com with your preferred day. There is no cost for the study.
