We have 114 people who have turned in pledge cards. Of those 108 pledge cards, 55 people have increased their pledges from 2024; 7 people have decreased their pledges from 2024. We have 29 pledgers that remained the same. We have 23 new pledgers for 2025. These 114 pledges represent $602,321 pledged during our generosity campaign so far. Join us for Christ the King Sunday. This Sunday celebrates Jesus Christ as King and reminds us of the fulfillment of God's reign in Him. It is an opportunity to reflect on Christ's eternal kingship and its implications for their faith and daily lives. We look forward to this time of worship with you and your family.

Our awesome volunteers had a great time with our garden team, mentees, and book club kiddos this week. Our mentees had fun making Thank You cards for their teachers and Thankful Turkeys to take home to share with their families. And our Book Clubs are making good progress in their chapter books. Some have even started to solve the mystery.

The Garden Team celebrated a Friendsgiving feast of several dishes featuring veggies and herbs grown in our Jaguar Jungle that were harvested and prepared by our very own 5th-grade gardeners. Each child left with a full belly, a bag of fresh herbs, mustard greens, and a cookbook made just for them with easy recipes containing the herbs they are now familiar with. What a delight it was to hear children asking if they could have more dill on their cucumbers or exclaiming that they’ve only ever had Ranch dressing on the salad, but now they know they like thyme vinaigrette!
We still need a few more volunteers to lend a hand at our Holiday Carnival on Friday, Dec. 6th. Please reach out if you can help!

Children's Christmas Musical:
Join us in the Fellowship Hall at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2024!
The Asbury & Wesley Choirs (children's choirs) present a beautiful Advent musical. The Light Before Christmas celebrates Advent's joyful anticipation of Christ's birth. The five candles of the Advent wreath provide the central focus for this service of light that culminates in the lighting of the Christ candle and the arrival of Christmas. Hear songs highlighting Advent's messages of hope, peace, joy, and love. There are new songs, familiar carols, and thoughtful narratives. Join us as we create a truly memorable worship experience filled with the expectation of Christ's coming and the celebration of His birth.

Christmas Toy Collection:
Our Dec. 1 deadline is approaching, and Santa needs more elves to produce enough toys. Hope Ministries has identified 333 children to receive gifts this year, and our church is important for the success of this mission. If you plan to shop for toys, please spend $20 to $25 on EACH item. All toys should be NEW and unwrapped. No guns, knives, or toys of violence. If the toy requires batteries, please tape extra batteries onto the package. You may leave the toys in the bin in the Narthex on Sundays or in the church office during normal office hours. (Please do not leave toys in the Fellowship Hall.) Some of our youth have volunteered to help with the shopping, so if you prefer to donate money, simply designate that your donation is for the “toy drive.”
Thanks for helping to make a difference in the lives of these children. Merry Christmas!!
