NEW Conferences in 2019! Join us for Thyroid, Wilderness Medicine, and more!
In 2019, UVM Continuing Medical and Interprofessional Education is happy to announce several NEW live activities including Thyroid Conference and Wilderness Medicine. Thyroid is scheduled to take place in May at the UVM Davis Center in Burlington. Wilderness Medicine will dovetail the 45th Annual Family Medicine Review Course and start on Friday, June 7 at the DoubleTree (formerly the Sheraton) in Burlington.

2nd Annual UVM Health Network Medical Group Clinical Integration Summit Defies Convention in Stowe
On November 2-3, more than 300 people gathered in Stowe, Vt. for the University of Vermont Health Network Medical Group’s Integration Summit.

Highlights from 35th Annual Women in Medicine (WIM) Conference

The University of Vermont CMIE office successfully coordinated the 35th Annual Women in Medicine Conference (WIM) which was held in Napa, California. Attendance consisted of physicians, nurses, residents/fellows, medical students and partners, totaling 116. 

Transforming Primary Care Returned in 2018 with New Name and Focus on Integrated Care

Primary Care Behavioral Health (formerly Transforming Primary Care) returned to a one-day schedule to enhance clinicians’ capacity to treat some of the most challenging clinical cases presented in primary care. It started with a pre-conference workshop on motivational interviewing.

Four Seasons of CMIE
Preserving the passion for learning by sponsoring quality educational activities is the goal of Continuing Medical and Interprofessional Education at the Robert Larner M.D. College of Medicine/The University of Vermont Medical Center. Our programs provide opportunities for health care professionals to master what is new, gain fresh insights into the diagnosis and management of common clinical conditions, and share successes and challenges with colleagues. We offer accessible online learning opportunities for the health care team in our vLIFE Online Library, along with a full series of medical courses each year, ranging from half-day seminars for regional physicians to week-long national conferences and international scientific symposia.
