Tax Season is Coming!

Despite the pandemic starting in the middle of the previous tax season, our VITA program still managed to file 1,064 free tax returns bringing back $1.75 million in tax credits to our community. The pandemic didn’t stop us then and it will not stop us now!

We will provide the same quality service virtually along with on-site support for those who have limited access to technology. Appointments for the upcoming tax season open January 2021.

Sign up here to be notified when appointments open. In the meantime, our VITA team is eager to assist with tax-related questions.

Economic Impact Payment

The IRS has set important dates around the Economic Impact Payments (EIP) for those individuals that normally don’t file a tax return.

You can check your eligibility using the Non-Filer Tool tool to see if you qualify for the $1,200. The IRS has set November 10 as a National EIP Registration Day and your last chance to apply is November 21, 2020.

You can speed up your payment by choosing to receive it by direct deposit. Those not choosing this option will receive a check.

Beginning two weeks after registering, you can track the status of their payment using the Get My Payment Tool.
