As we conclude our 45th anniversary year of outstanding impact and our first year as a merged organization serving all three counties of the Yampa Valley, we are reaching out with an urgent request: We need your support to help our community's hardworking families who are facing impossible choices—between paying rent, putting food on the table, keeping the lights on, or covering medical expenses. These families are part of the ALICE—Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed group. They are your neighbors, coworkers, and friends who hold crucial roles in our community, from healthcare workers to teachers and retail staff.  ALICE is the backbone of our community, working as childcare providers, healthcare aides, mechanics, teachers, retail clerks, and restaurant wait staff. Yet, despite their hard work, they often can't afford essentials like housing, food, and childcare. To read more about ALICE, a recent Colorado report will be released in January.

An upcoming study led by the United Way of the Yampa Valley and various United Way agencies across Colorado has revealed how critical the situation is for many families you may know personally. We now know that ALICE households make up 35% of the Routt County population. That means one in three of our neighbors is barely getting by. The United Way of Yampa Valley is committed to changing that. We provide critical direct support, such as financial literacy coursesschool supplies for childrenemergency  support services, and funding programs like tuition for local families and senior services. But we can't do it without you.

Your donation today will have an immediate and lasting impact. It ensures that those working hard can afford life's essentials. Now, more than ever, we must come together as a community. Your generosity can change the trajectory of a family's future. Every dollar you give stays in the Yampa Valley and provides critical resources to those needing them most.

Please consider making a generous gift today. Regardless of its size, your gift will play a significant role in building a stronger, more resilient community. Your support is vital; we count on you to help us make a difference.
