University Hills COVID-19 Latest Updates
Orange County Exits State Coronavirus Watch List

Orange County is no longer on California's county monitoring list. The list was established by the state early on in the pandemic to evaluate regional data metrics such as number of new coronavirus cases per 100,000, coronavirus test positivity rate and supply of hospital beds. The implications of moving off the monitoring list remain to be seen, but our new status is a step in the right direction. University Hills residents, along with all of OC, should be commended for doing the hard work required to move the numbers and improve outcomes for all.
Spread Positive Vibes Campaign Makes Mask-Wearing and Social Distancing Cool

The OC Healthcare Agency (OCHCA) is encouraging Orange County residents to take life-saving measures like wearing masks and socially distancing to stop the spread of COVID-19. Instead of presenting these behaviors as a negative, the new Positive Vibes campaign describes them as a positive way to help families and neighbors stay safe. The public service campaign has enlisted local surfing and skateboarding legends to help sell the message. The campaign kicks off with a series of interviews to be broadcast on the KFI 640 AM Gary and Shannon Show beginning today. Click here for more details and the full schedule.
Irvine PD Provides Guidance on How to Avoid Package Theft

Since March, many of our lives have changed due to COVID-19. Those who
previously enjoyed in-person shopping at a store may now be making even more
frequent purchases online. This means more package deliveries to your home or
business and increased opportunities for criminals to steal from you. To avoid theft of packages delivered to your home, please review these prevention tips from the Irvine Police Department.
