in San Francisco helps the elderly through compassion and understanding with programs that are designed to keep the most vulnerable in society engaged in life.
The agency strives to meet the needs of the community by providing entertaining activities through a partnership with the local Samoan Center. Seniors gather here to share in common interests, develop a sense of belonging, and ultimately to have fun together.
Candy Marie Bickett of the Felton Institute says the instrument grant of
provides its seniors with "whole-person health and wellness – from the inside out."
The Center is a place for people in the community to meet, plan days of the week around upcoming events, and it's all within walking distance.
"It’s a place where they can bring themselves and be themselves," Candy says. "And that’s where we meet them.”
