As Ukrainians marked their Independence Day August 24, they also noted the six-month marker of the current Russian invasion. To date, PWRDF’s Ukraine response has received more than $1 million, with donations still coming in. The outpouring is second only to the earthquake in Haiti in 2010.

Congolese refugees find growth opportunities in Tanzania

Laliya Atondo is a Congolese refugee living in Nyarugusu camp, Tanzania. She relies mainly on World Food Programme (WFP) food rations to access food and feed her eight children. However, rations contain only staple items and are regularly reduced due to WFP’s limited resources. With support from Church World Service and PWRDF, she is growing vegetables and earning an income.

Connecting the dots between residential schools and boil water advisories

PWRDF Annual General Meeting

September 23, 2 p.m. ET

The Rev. Canon Rachel Carnegie, Executive Director of the Anglican Alliance, will join this year’s Annual General meeting. The meeting will be live streamed on our YouTube channel (see link above). We will also consider the audited financial statements for fiscal year 2021-2022 and auditor’s report, elect directors, meet the auditor, and reappoint the incumbent auditors.

KAIROS Climate Action Month

The theme for 2022's Climate Action month (September) is Decolonizing Climate Action. Activities and events will focus on listening to and learning from peoples and communities who are too often ignored when addressing the climate crisis.
