June 2021 Canadian Newsletter
It’s not very often that we get to welcome a new branch to the UCC national family. We are thrilled to welcome the UCC Durham regional branch, which incudes the communities of Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax and Pickering in Ontario. Вітаємо! You can see more below about their plans and leadership.

In the coming weeks Canada will participate in the G7 and NATO Leaders Summits. We’ve been working hard to make sure that support for Ukraine and stopping Russian aggression are priorities on the international agenda.

Finally, it’s been wonderful to see such a strong response to our Community Engagement Survey. Please help us reach your friends and family who may not have yet had a chance to share their views!

UCC Letter to Prime Minister Trudeau re NATO Leaders’ Summit
Since 2014, Ukraine and the Ukrainian people have been the frontline of defence against Russian aggression. At great cost, Ukraine has for seven years defended the democratic values and principles of self-determination and liberty for which the NATO Alliance stands.

The June 14th NATO Leaders' Summit is an important opportunity for Allies to reaffirm their commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and to buttress this commitment with concrete actions.

On June 14, 2021, the heads of state and government of NATO Allies will meet at the NATO Summit in Brussels.
