Rain clouds in the sky yesterday!?!? A touch of cooler weather?!? We'll take it!
Much like the weather, this week's produce box features welcome refreshment with items such as mixed Shiso, Armenian cucumbers, baby fennel, and peaches.
In the spirit of neighborly collaboration, this week's peaches come from a fellow Suisun Valley fruit farmer. Our first Umbel Roots stone fruit trees will look to be planted this winter. We're currently researching varieties for our planned orchard and couldn't pass up a ripe local peach!
This week's recipe combines the season's ripe peaches with our shiso and your favorite soft cheese. Simplicity is the key here as these few ingredients go a long way for a quick dish that is packed with flavor and easy to create. A touch of honey & coarse sea salt in this dish really make these flavors pop!
This is a summer recipe that doesn't require a stove or oven, and can quickly be thrown together with ease.
