Friends of the Farm-

A nice big box of produce this week! Beds are full and the autumn season blesses us with a great mix of produce to share with you. Persimmons and winter squash sure bring the season in focus with their own unique flavors. We also love the colors represented in our Swiss Chard. It's fun to look down the rows and see the rainbow of stems & leaves. Sunrise makes it especially pop and come to life. Vegetables can be so beautiful...

In this week's recipe we feature Jarrahdale Winter Squash Soup. Trust me, you can't miss this ingredient in this week's delivery. The hardest part of the recipe may be simply breaking down the squash. It's big! The recipe itself is very straightforward and aromatic with the addition of fresh thyme. A warming, autumnal dish full of nutrition and flavor.
Other things we are making with our remaining squash throughout the week ahead include apple & persimmon roasted squash, winter squash gnocchi, grilled squash with pumpkin seeds & pumpkin oil, and roasted lentils with squash purée.

Don't forget to tune into this week's edition of our CSA music playlist. Link to our Spotify playlist is attached below to join the groove...
This week we take on a Halloween theme! Ghouls, graveyards, witches, spiders, Frankenstein & Vampires - this playlist has a touch of spook throughout. Don't worry, we still find a way to keep it fresh and funky. Great accompaniment for breaking down your squash and cooking soup, or waiting for trick-or-treaters to your door this weekend. Enjoy!

This marks our last week of the current CSA Quarter, (week 13 of 13).
