A return to rain this weekend, as well as the forecast for the week ahead. Considerable snow predicted in the mountains too! Winter is nearly upon us. Preparations were in order this past week with harvesting moisture-sensitive crops, and preparing some beds to not be worked or trodden for the week ahead. Our greenhouse continues to see lots of growth with seeding and future successions maturing day by day. Big fluffy clouds, overcast days, cool mornings, and moisture in the air make us happy farmers. These are some of our favorite days and we truly love to be out here doing this work in farming year-round.

We're excited to get away from the farm and meet our community.

*Reminder that next week, December 17th will be our last week of regular CSA before we take a pause from the farm to enjoy the Christmas and New Years holidays with our families. We return back with weekly CSA service starting Friday January 7, 2022.

**Just as we did in run-up to the Thanksgiving holiday, our farm will be offering a supplemental Christmas-week CSA available for pick-up or home delivery on Tuesday December 21. I'll warn you now, this one gets funky. Watch out for the latter half especially as the funk and disco take off. We needed a sound as big as the winter squash this week, and music as colorful as your braising mix. Remember, kitchen dancing is encouraged!

Rick James, George McCrae, Jimmy "Bo" Horne, Orgone, and Gary Toms Empire are all forces to be reckoned with. The Meters hit a sweet spot this week to with the track Do The Dirt from the album, Cabbage Alley. Now tell me that's not music to a farmer's ears and in need of CSA playlist addition! Enjoy!!
