This week marks our last regular CSA delivery of 2021.

We thank you all for your tremendous support of our dreams and farm in its first year! We're truly blessed to be doing what we're doing and we cannot thank you enough for the support of this community we feed weekly with our vegetables. Thank you for giving us a try, believing in us, and supporting local agriculture!

This November William and I were presented the opportunity to return to Sonoma County by way of taking over ownership of a farm on the westside of Petaluma, Live Oak Farm. We're excited to announce this new chapter of Umbel Roots and our farm business as we move our farm from Solano County to Sonoma County. For those of your who joined us for our first farm dinner back in September or have visited Umbel Roots you know that we spent much of last year building initial farm infrastructure (beds, irrigation, systems, ect). We're now eager to take our model, work ethic, and ethos to Petaluma and have the opportunity to grow and serve exponentially in our commitment to community, restaurant partners, and collaboration in farmed food. With this new opportunity comes a farm stand (open daily at 1030 Lohrman Lane, come visit!), CCOF Organic Certification, event space (stay tuned for 2022 Events Calendar coming in the New Year!), enhanced infrastructure, and more! We're beyond excited to hit the ground running, expand our access, and continue our creativity in farming. We're so glad to have you join us in the future of Umbel Roots - Live Oak Farm!

Organic strawberries have been a signature to Live Oak Farm and we welcome in this new chapter with Strawberry Preserves from the new farm in this week's CSA box! Enjoy first taste of our new real estate!!

*Reminder that this week will be our last week of regular CSA before we take a pause from the farm to enjoy the Christmas and New Years holidays with our families. We return back with weekly CSA service starting Friday January 7, 2022.

The Guess Who, Bruce Springsteen, the Kinks, the Meters, Diana Ross, and farm-favorite groove-setter Bohannon all with features this week too. The Brazilian group Os Brazoes, the tenor saxophone stylings of John Klemmer, and orchestral productions of French singer Charles Aznavour bring a bit of worldliness to this week's playlist.
