BCDI-Atlanta Receives 56,000 Masks

In partnership with United Way of Greater Atlanta, Global Health Crisis Coordination Center, Metro Atlanta Chamber, and The VGI Group, local organizations in need of face masks were identified and matched with corporations who could help. GPC (General Parts Company)/NAPA Auto Parts and the Atlanta Falcons graciously agreed to a joint donation of 44,000 masks benefiting BCDI-Atlanta.

In addition...

Our national office, NBCDI, partnered with the Clinton Global Initiative/Too Small to Fail to provide free masks to children. The manufacturer, BELLA+CANVAS, shipped thousands of free masks to the NBCDI Affiliate Network to distribute to early childhood programs with enrollment below the poverty line. BCDI-Atlanta received 12,000 masks to distribute.

With nearly 30% of Georgia's childcare centers closing, we are placing these masks directly in the hands of childcare providers to reduce their operating costs. Visit our blog to read more about this initiative.

Thank you to all the companies and agencies who donated masks to support our community efforts!
