UNDER HER MANTLE

CHAMPION SHRINE'S MONTHLY UPDATE

Welcome to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion's monthly update. Sent every month on the 9th - or the anniversary day of the apparition - Under Her Mantle will share upcoming Shrine events, stories that may be of interest, and the past month's happenings.

Under our Blessed Mother's ever-protective mantle, we pray that this update is a source of good news from Champion and that it allows you to keep in touch with our mission at the Shrine.

May God bless you!

THE GOOD NEWS

"Has the cause for canonization been opened for Adele Brise?"

This is one of the most frequently asked questions we hear at the National Shrine and is often accompanied by a story of her intercession or by the heartfelt belief that she lived a saintly life. While Adele’s cause for sainthood has not yet been opened, we thought it might be interesting to ask a few questions in response.

Have you ever asked for a favor or grace through the intercession of Adele Brise? Do you have a story of a prayer answered through this intercession? Do you believe that Adele lived a life of heroic virtue and now lives as a saint in heaven? If so, why do you believe that? If you have a moment, answer these questions in the Survey below!

TAKE OUR SHORT SURVEY NOW!

We will look for an opportunity to share some of these responses in a future edition of this e-newsletter.

Belgian Harvest Festival

September 16

The life of Adele Brise, her encounter with the Queen of Heaven and the story of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion is steeped in the rich history and culture of the Belgian farmers who settled in this region. This festival, in partnership with the Belgian Heritage Center, is a celebration of that local history and culture and in thanksgiving for the bounty of our Lord!
