UTIC Challenge Goes International

With numerous applications sent in from the United States, United Kingdom and Australia, the application period for the inaugural UTIC Challenge came to a successful close earlier this month. The teams' proposed solutions for workforce development in undersea tech are due mid-December and UTIC will review and announce the winners in early 2024.

Leaders Collaborate on Opportunities and Problem Solving at Industry Day

UTIC partnered with The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport to host an Undersea Technology OTA Industry Day that provided information on upcoming procurement opportunities, goals and schedules for various U.S. Navy programs.

More than 200 defense sector leaders attended to learn about prototype opportunities and align their business strategies to U.S. Navy needs. Rebecca Chhim, Acting Technical Director, NUWC Division Newport, shared updates on the current state of the Navy’s cybersecurity efforts.

SENEDIA SBIR NAVSEA 24.1 Event

13 December 2023

On 13 December 2023, SENEDIA will be hosting an event providing information on the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) 24.1 SBIR/STTR topics. These topics will have a pre-release on 29 November 2023; open on 3 January 2024; and close on 7 February 2024. Dick McNamara, former NAVSEA SES and Executive Director, Team SUB, will be the SBIR representatives from the NAVSEA. We will live broadcast discussions of the topics by the Navy Technical Points of Contact.
