We solve one of the most difficult challenges facing families today...caring for loved ones requiring in-home companion care and personal assistance.

Understanding the Stages of Memory Loss

When making care decisions for a family member who is showing signs of memory loss, dementia or Alzheimer's, it's vital to understand the stages that they may go through. By having a better understanding of the changes in behavior and abilities, you can choose the most effective course of action for your loved one's treatment and care with the help of doctors and caregivers.

Early detection can be very useful in managing the progression of dementia or Alzheimer's and also give you time to plan the approach to caregiving that is right for your family.

National Nursing Assistants Week

Visiting Angels of Pikesville is honoring and recognizing our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for their hard work and dedication throughout the year during the 42nd Annual National Nursing Assistants Week, June 13-20, 2019. National Nursing Assistants Week has been observed for 7 days, starting Thursday of the second full week in June, since 1977.

Our CNAs provide predictability and stability to care, which in turn enhances the feeling of security for our clients. Our CNAs also bring wisdom, patience, humor and a general attitude of caring to the daily lives of those they care for.

Driven by a desire to help those who may not be able to help themselves, our CNAs receive daily satisfaction from those they care for. The reward of providing help in daily tasks that we may take for granted is enough to motivate our caregivers to "care for life," becoming career caretakers.

A great big "thank you" to our dedicated CNAs for their round-the-clock efforts in caring for our clients!
