Dear Local 1776KS Member:

I am writing to inform all of our members that we have posted a detailed memorandum with very useful information regarding Pennsylvania Unemployment Insurance for Employees Working Short-Time that was prepared by our outside counsel at Willig Williams Davidson to our website that you can access by CLICKING HERE.

The memo addresses several critical issues and questions, including, among others; “If my employer reduces my hours in the wake of the pandemic, but I am still working part-time hours, will I qualify for unemployment insurance?”

Our Local has been working with employers across our jurisdiction on workplace safety and cleaning protocols, as well as sick pay and leave policies that protect your rights and help stem the spread of COVID-19. It is critical that you understand your rights to Unemployment Insurance, and I encourage you to take just a few minutes to review this memo.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact your Union Representative using our toll-free number at 866.329.1776 or send an email to [email protected].

Thank you for your continued hard work throughout this crisis.
