YTS Update | Feb 2, 2026 | ט"ו שבט תשפ״ו

Over the past few months, the yeshiva has been filled with growth, energy, and a special atmosphere of shteiging and growth.

We’re happy to share a few highlights that capture what the bochurim have been experiencing and building together.

Leil Shishi: Kosel & Kever Rochel

One Leil Shishi featured a special trip to the Kosel and Kever Rochel, followed by the weekly Leil Shishi chulent and Chumash shmooz with Rav Eli Kreditor. The combination of finishing Tehillim together, davening, learning, and achdus around the table reflects the unique rhythm of the yeshiva — serious growth paired with warmth.

Shabbos in Bnei Brak

A truly unforgettable Shabbos was spent in Bnei Brak together with Rav Pielet, where the bochurim were surrounded by the greatness of Torah and its leaders. Over the course of the Shabbos, we had the zechus to meet close to twenty gedolim and receive countless divrei chizuk and brachos. Beyond the planned visits, there was an added feeling of siyata dishmaya as many unexpected opportunities opened up throughout Erev Shabbos and Shabbos.

The impact of that Shabbos is still felt in the yeshiva. The bochurim returned uplifted, inspired, and deeply connected to the עולם התורה in a very real way.

Chizuk from Guest Rabbonim

Over the past few months, the yeshiva was zoche to hear powerful divrei chizuk from distinguished rabbanim. The world-renowned HaRav Ephraim Wachsman, father of our Rav Betzalel Wachsman, shared heartfelt words about connecting to one’s true פנימיות and living with clarity and purpose, leaving a strong impression that continued to echo in the beis medrash.

HaRav Chaim Rennert, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Derech Chaim emphasized the power of sincere tefillah and reminded the bochurim that every person is a star, with a unique role to play, and that everyone is needed to complete the whole picture of Torah growth. Before Chanukah, Rav Ahron David spoke about developing a constant awareness of הודאה through פסוקי דזמרה, instilling in the bochurim a constant sense of הודאה so that gratitude and awareness of Hashem permeate their daily learning and avodah. These shmoozen added warmth, direction, and a palpable sense of growth that continues to be felt throughout the yeshiva.

Siyum on Maseches Sukka!

This Chanukah, the yeshiva celebrated a beautiful siyum on Maseches Sukkah, which was leant from the middle of summer zman through Elul zman. The simcha in the room reflected the consistency and השקעה of the bochurim, and it was a big chizuk to continue shteiging in winter zman, where the yeshiva has been learning Maseches Shabbos with renewed excitement and focus. The sense of accomplishment continues to fuel the learning every day.
