As widely reported, 2024 brought massive rate increases to California's ratepayers across all major investor-owned utilities. 2025 is already shaping up to be more of the same, even as legislators amp up concerns about energy affordability!
Rate increases greatly exceeding inflation are expected to continue for the foreseeable future. All 3 major investor-owned utilities (PG&E, SCE and SDG&E) have pending or recently approved rate increases averaging 10% or more annually.
CPUC-approved wildfire mitigation costs, including PG&E's bloated, unnecessary and uber-expensive undergrounding program will add as much as $9 billion in statewide costs in 2025 alone.
PG&E implemented five separate rate increases in 2024.
Californians are fed up! Policymakers need to get control of skyrocketing energy costs.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
