Union of Black Episcopalians Enrollment is Open

The Diocese of Indianapolis chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians has opened enrollment for the coming year. UBE gathers Black Episcopalians and allies who want to be agents of change in the Episcopal Church to rally around social justice issues in the church community.
2022 membership dues should be paid by December 31, but enrollment will remain open through the end of January.

Give to the 2021 Global Missions Challenge
Support our partners in Haiti and Brasilia
|
|
The Global Missions Commission has challenged the diocese to match, by the end of 2021, its donation of $23,700 to the diocese's mission partners in Haiti and Brazil.
Including the convention offering, the diocese has so far raised $15,669.47.
Donated funds will support:
• Repair of a well in Mithon, Haiti, that was damaged by Tropical Storm Grace and the earthquake that followed
• Lunches and Lessons at St. Andres School in Mithon
• A full year of operating costs for the community center at the heart of the Diocese of Brasilia’s outreach to the community in Pedregal
• Food baskets for families who rely on the community center for basic necessities.

Trinity Service Corps Program for Young Adults
Applications Now Open

Trinity, Indianapolis has announced it will launch a new Episcopal Service Corps program, Trinity Service Corps, in August 2022. Episcopal Service Corps (ESC) is a ministry of the Episcopal Church in which young adults ages 21-32, living in locally organized intentional communities, serve others in solidarity, promote justice, deepen their spiritual awareness and discern vocation.
Those interested in serving with ESC for the 2022-2023 Service Year are invited to apply online. Applications opened on November 15 for all programs.

Children, Youth Ministry Group Begins January 31
|
|
Starting in January, an interdenominational group of children and youth ministry leaders in the Indianapolis area will meet on the last Monday of every month. The group will pray for, collaborate with and support leaders working with children and youth of all ages. Volunteer and paid leaders are welcome.

Ordinations on December 4
Jason Fortner and Jóel Muñoz to be ordained deacons

God willing and the people consenting, Bishop Jennifer will ordain Jason Fortner and Jóel Muñoz as transitional deacons on Saturday, December 4 at 11 a.m. Eastern/10 a.m. Central at Christ Church Cathedral. The service will be livestreamed on the cathedral's website.
Worship will follow cathedral re-gathering protocols. Clergy are invited to vest and process. The festival color is red.

Advent in Narnia Retreat: Waiting and Wonder

Bishop's Office Will Process Online Gifts to Congregations at No Cost

While congregations are not meeting in person due to the coronavirus pandemic, the bishop's office will process online gifts on behalf of congregations, and will absorb all payment processing fees.
