Project Blueprint -

Individual Cohort Session III

Project Blueprint - Individual Cohort's third session focused on Intergroup Dialogue and was facilitated by Dr. Karen Rice. Dr. Rice holds positions as a Professor, Department Chairperson and as a Faculty Fellow for the Office of Diversity and Social Justice at Millersville University. Additionally, she serves on United Way's Equity Committee.

During this engaging session, participants were not only introduced to the concept of Intergroup Dialogue but were also guided on harnessing this valuable skillset as an integral component of nurturing inclusive leadership.

Participants gained valuable insights into the practical applications of Intergroup Dialogue in leadership contexts and learning how this contributes to the development of inclusive and collaborative organizations and communities. The training provided tangible tools and strategies to implement Intergroup Dialogue in their respective leadership roles.

Child Tax Credit

The Expanded Child Tax Credit (CTC) expired at the start of 2022 after lifting nearly 3 million children out of poverty in 2021. Reinstating the expanded CTC would not only improve families’ ability to put food on the table, but it also would benefit the economy spurring job growth.

Thank you, Alex!

Alex Joseph concluded his time with United Way of Lancaster County's Resource Development Team earlier this month. He served as a Loaned Representative from Fulton Bank where he is currently a management trainee.

Over the past two months, Alex channeled his skills by focusing on planning, organizing, and executing employee and corporate campaigns to help us achieve established goals.

We wish Alex the best of luck as he moves forward in his career! And we thank Fulton Bank for their generosity.

Level Up & Launch Fellow Highlights:

Milagro House will use their Level Up & Launch funds to expand existing programs. This will be done by covering the costs of classrooms and staffing salary for critical positions as well as new positions for non-residential student outreach and overall expansion.

Pennsylvania Furniture Mission, a newly established nonprofit, will seek to serve residents of southeast and south-central Pennsylvania who are experiencing economic hardship and furniture poverty by providing free gently used furniture, thereby helping them to thrive.
