In December, UPC's Outreach Committee took breakfast to the Transportation Department to show them how much parents appreciate all their hard work! Thank you to the Einstein Bros. Bagels on Cave Creek and Tatum for donating bagels to our event. Thank you to the Desert Cove PTO, Desert Trails PTO, Desert Shadows Elementary PTA, and the Quail Run PTO for your donations to this event. We were able to bring bagels, fruit coffee and a bunch of gift cards for the transportation staff.

Thank you, Transportation Department!

Thank you to Safeway and Albertsons!

Safeway and Albertsons donated $4000 worth of gift cards that were distributed to families in our district prior to the holiday season. Thank you to Dr. Heidi Lindsay, Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Leadership, for working with school sites to identify families and helping distribute the gift cards.

Safeway and Albertsons are able to provide these gift cards through their Nourishing Neighbors Program. When you checkout in the stores, the keypad will ask if you would like to make a donation to feed hungry families in your area. Those donations are what funds the gift cards we receive for PV families. So thank you to everyone that has donated while checking out!
