Support Roadrunner School!
Roadrunner School is a highly specialized program for K-12 students who are eligible to receive services for social, emotional, and/or behavioral needs. Many of the students are not able to purchase items for their families for the holidays. Most of their population is high need and low socioeconomic so their parents are not able to help. Roadrunner's unique K-12 self contained special education school allows for students to earn points to "purchase" gifts for their families. This is a lesson for them to learn about giving to others.
Roadrunner's school store needs a variety of items for children to adults. We welcome ANY new items that you would like to donate, even if it's not on this list of ideas. Some items may also be used for our daily store where students can shop. You can also drop new items off at: Roadrunner School

Project SEARCH!

PVSchools is now participating in Project SEARCH! Project SEARCH is a national organization with the goal of "Preparing young people with significant disabilities for success in competitive integrated employment." Special Education students from PV high schools have the opportunity to be interns at Mayo Clinic and learn valuable job skills. They need a little help from the community as they get the program started.

  • The students are not able to get lunch at school due to the program's schedule. We want to make sure these students have hearty lunch available to them before they begin working everyday. You can purchase lunch items off this Amazon Wishlist! Items include: Chef Boyardee Microwave Meals, Mac n Cheese for Microwave, Ramen Noodles, Hot Pockets, Frozen Pizza, Peanut Butter and Jelly.
  • The students also need professional clothing. They will take anything (for future interns to use), but here is the size list for the current interns:

Mens:
-Solid colored ties
-Shirt sizes Medium, Large, and X-large
-Pants: 32x32, 36x34, 40x42
-Shoes: 8.5, and 9

Womens:
-Shirts: Medium
-Pants: size 9
-Shoes: 7

They can also use professional blazers/jackets for both men and women.
***Gift cards are also appreciated (especially Target)! They do have a new skills trainer that will help them purchase what they need (basic undergarments, socks, makeup, etc, to complete the professional appearance)

If you are able to help or have any questions, please email Deb Kozak at [email protected].
