A GREETING FROM OUR GENERAL MANAGER, Leslie English | | This month I’d like to give a praise and recognition to all Volunteer Fire and EMS hero's! Over the 4th of July holiday my family and I spent a great deal of time around the water and in small communities. The sirens were heard frequently as many were enjoying the outdoors and holiday. Response time is critical and each time, I was impressed with the expedient responses and number of volunteers answering calls in their communities. Fires, mva’s, and water emergencies were just a few of the calls they answered at all hours of the day and night. I thought about how their families must worry every time they rush out of the house to answer a call for someone in need. What are the volunteers thinking and hoping as they arrive to a scene knowing they may be putting their lives on the line to assist others? It’s very obvious that as a “volunteer” they are unselfish and passionate people that answer the call of duty with absolutely no hesitation or prejudice. They are there to help at our darkest times and for that I am grateful for them. Join me in thanking your local fire and EMS personnel for their sacrifice and passion, we are very lucky to have them!

Exciting Product Announcement: The new MLINK! | The 'Mlink' was developed at United Radio, (by LMR Department Manager Corey Martino) as a solution for Syracuse Fire, and other agencies. The device provides an easy to install link between the Opticom traffic signal preemption unit and the Sierra wireless modem. Previous to this, banks of relays needed to be wired properly and installed taking up time and space. The unit saves both time, money, and space compared to the alternative!
