Help Kids Start the School Year Prepared
Since 2011, United Way has helped K-6th students in our region start the school year better prepared with our Back 2 School resource fairs. We have given away about 25,000 backpacks full of school supplies!

This year, we've decided to do things a little bit different. We will purchase school supplies in bulk and deliver them directly to every elementary school in our 7-county region -- right into the hands of the kids who need them.

We talked to teachers and administrators and they are excited about this change! Not only will the supplies be right there at the school to be used, but we can make your donations go even further this way. It's a win-win!

But we do still need your help to purchase these supplies. Visit unitedwaynems.org/b2s to make a donation today! And keep an eye out for a volunteer opportunity. When the supplies arrive, we will need volunteers to help us sort them by school for delivery.
Thank You for Supporting BreakBox!
Your generous contributions have made the summer BreakBox program possible. The first round of boxes have been distributed to families: That's 855 kids who were able to receive boxes of food to relieve their food insecurity through the summer.

So many amazing volunteers helped pack the first half of the boxes a few weeks ago, and we will have another packing day coming up later this month.
