United Way Celebrates 40 Years of Community Service in Hidalgo & Starr Counties
The Board of Directors thanks all Volunteers, Agencies and Donors for their time, and for entrusting their charitable dollars in United Way.

Prepare your Taxes with VITA
United Way is now accepting calls to schedule appointments to prepare income tax returns. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will assist households with incomes of $60,000 or less for the 2022 tax season. Call 956-607-9030 to schedule an appointment today. VITA services will be available at 14 locations across Hidalgo and Starr Counties.
Spirit of Christmas
United Way of South Texas thanks The Monitor for their collaborative work on the annual Spirit of Christmas project. Eight families were featured in The Monitor and an additional eleven families were adopted by Vantage Bank, Opportun, Franklin & Covey and Target. Families received monetary donations, wrapped holiday gifts, shopping sprees for essential needs and home repair building supplies.

To commemorate 40 years of impact in Hidalgo and Starr Counties, United Way invited 400 NEW donors and fans to LIVE UNITED. The Board is proud to announce that as of January 12, 2022 902 New Donors and Social Media Fans joined the LIVE UNITED movement. It's not too late for you to join!
