Greetings!
July, typically a month associated with relaxing summer vacations and time spent with friends, is a bit different this year for everyone. The same can be said about July at Unity College, it’s a bit different. However, during this time of uncertainty in higher education and beyond, we’ve been working on ways to best support our current and incoming students as well as the long-term sustainability of the College. We are looking forward to bringing these new methods to our students as well as using these opportunities to make a Unity College education more accessible to a broader audience so that we have even more alumni from all walks of life, living our mission.

Dr. Don Lynch, Pat Clark receive honor after more than 30 years with Unity College. “Dr. Lynch and Pat’s contributions to Unity College go well beyond mere years of service,” said Unity College President Dr. Melik Peter Khoury. “They have both been vital in shaping the very foundation that has made Unity College what it is today, and I know from talking with alumni that they have left a profound impression on numerous students throughout their careers. Now, I am proud to call Dr. Don Lynch and Pat Clark Professor Emeriti. It is well deserved.”

Though COVID-19 has thrown a wrench into many summer plans and postponed countless events, Unity College is moving forward with recognizing some of our most accomplished graduates from the Class of 2020.
“These students truly went the extra mile not only in their own academics, but also for their classmates and all of us here at Unity College,” said Unity College President Dr. Melik Peter Khoury.

After months of deliberation and analyzing the logistics around the possibility of opening its Flagship Campus this fall amid COVID-19, Unity College announced in June that it will continue remote learning heading into this fall.

Due to the impacts of COVID-19, Community Weekend is canceled
We are sa
d to announce that the 2020 Unity College Community Weekend has been canceled. The weekend, slated for September 25-27, traditionally features an alumni reception, band, alumni and family breakfast, and the annual Unity College Woodsmen meet, along with a variety of other athletic events. Traditionally, this weekend also aligns with the Common Ground Fair, which has been moved to a completely virtual format for this year.
As previously shared, in an effort to keep our students, faculty, and staff safe and healthy, all students will move to remote learning for the 2020-21 academic year. All courses will be taught remotely through Hybrid Learning or online through Distance Education.
Information regarding 2021 events will be released as we continue to evaluate the COVID-19 situation and its impact on our campus community.

Gray is the founder of
Monarchs in the Rough
, a partnership between Audubon International and Environmental Defense Fund. The program connects and supports superintendents and other golf course staff as they plan, install, and manage habitat projects for the monarch butterfly on their courses.
