Dear Unity Friends,

Now and then my family likes to get lost in an epic movie.  Sometimes they are adventurous, sometimes thrilling, sometimes hilarious, sometimes melancholy, but always taking us to a place far from where we are in "real life."  Isn't it wonderful to be able to be entertained and whisked away right where you sit?  It's kind of an escape from the stress and pressures of everyday life.

But it's not always possible or practical to give up a chunk of time to watch a movie when you feel like you need to get away from the daily grind, or to relax.

Consider Meditation - the other great escape!

There is an amazing amount of free information out there online, including free guided meditation podcasts to get you started.  Or enroll in a meditation class for beginners.  Lots of internet radio services have meditation music stations to use to help you relax and breathe.  And once you have gotten the process down, you can take a short 2 - 5 minute meditation break anywhere and anytime you need to!

And, in the quiet of your meditation, it is so much easier to hear when Spirit is speaking to you.

Meditate often.

Blessings,
Ron

Minister Search Committee

Unity Spiritual Center of Manhattan would like to actively pursue hiring a permanent part-time minister.  We need community members willing to participate in this process by volunteering to be a member of the search committee.  We need to have at least six people, most of which should be non-board members.

If you would consider serving as a member of the search committee, please contact a board member.  Board member information is listed near the bottom of the left column.

Unity Manhattan KS 4.5.15 Easter Sunday
Unity Manhattan KS 4.5.15 Easter Sunday "Conviction of the Heart" with Chris Foster

Hope to see you on Sunday!

Volunteers Needed

Many people have made commitments to volunteer for "Crews" put in place to help the church run. The board is still working out details of how to best implement this process, and will continue to update and transition everyone into their new roles.  There is always room for more help.

Please talk with anyone on Sunday if you are interested and able to help.  They will get you in touch with a board member if you would like to learn more about volunteering opportunities in service to this spiritual community.  Thank You!
