More than 450 times in the Bible, a story starts with the words, "It came to pass." We "know" that change is an inevitable part of life, and yet so often, we humans have difficulty in accepting and moving through the experience.
Are we able to stay grounded in the truth of our being, that we are the beloved, when there are changes in our lives, even during the ones we didn't consciously choose? And what do we really believe about Spirit (God, the Universe, our Higher Power); what happens after we say "amen: and so it is"? But can we also allow ourselves to feel what we feel, rather than covering up with "toxic positivity" and "spiritual bypass"?
Rev. Dr. Jerry Troyer will be our guest speaker on Sunday, July 26, on the topic, "The 'Gift' of Change." Join us to welcome him to our community and then plan to stay with us at noon in fellowship hall for his heart and mind opening workshop, "It Came to Pass: Navigating Change."
