Where there is Unity, there is strength.

Unity Park is a neighborhood park that celebrates the strength of the surrounding community. Construction was completed in 2021 as a replacement of the outdated NE 31st Ave. Park, which was built in the 1960s.

The construction cost of the park was $1,120,951.68. Improvements to this neighborhood park were supported in 2017 and funded through the Wild Spaces & Public Places half-cent sales tax. The GFWC Gainesville Woman’s Club, Inc. also made a $10,000 donation to contribute to the neighborhood park upgrades. In addition, Gainesville Regional Utilities offered the City a 3-acre parcel of land approximately 200 feet west of the old NE 31st Ave. Park which would become Unity Park.
