Greetings!
There are so many opportunities to experience Spirit Activity through Unity Village chapel.
Check out all of the special events, classes and activities and engage in the season of growing.
Speaking of growing, the Saturday market stand is now open for the season at the Gardens at Unity. Look for the big white barn off Colbern Road just down from the Village (Saturdays, 8am-1pm).
I've been getting some dirt under my nails volunteering and watering vegetables though I think my real talent lies in sitting on the hay bales blessing the veggies and singing them an occasional tune.

As the Minister of Pastoral Services, I am available on Sunday morning for prayer and Monday through Thursday during the week for individual prayer or spiritual counseling.
Our Chapel Pastoral Services Team members provide hospital or nursing home visits and personal prayer support after the Sunday Service.

UVC YOUTH EDUCATION
Karen DeLong, Youth Education Director
We are currently teaching from the book "Celebrating My God-self." The lessons are fun and filled with great activities and basic Unity Principles. Children from preschool age 4 to 5th grade are welcome. Join us on Sundays at 10:30.
We are EXCITED to announce there are opportunities available in our children's program. Come join us in being a loving presence in our children's spiritual unfoldment! Each age group has gifts and talents and mostly their love to share with you. The love and acceptance recieved from our children is a special blessing! Being with them as they learn about Unity teaching's is beyond rewarding for me. I feel it is a special honor to be with them on Sundays. I am truly blessed! Plans for Summer Camp here at Unity Village Chapel, July 23-27th, are underway. This year's theme is "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle." The children will learn about our environment and how they can make a difference.
Yeah! All of the Unity churches in our area are participating in our camp this year: Unity Temple on the Plaza, Unity Church of Overland Park, Unity of the Heartland, Unity of Independence and One Community Spiritual Center. Summer Camp is open to all children.
Details are on the flyer and applications which can be picked up at church or emailed to you by request. Send request for forms to jasonkirchner@sbcglobal.net or itskruthere@aol.com. These forms are also be available on our church website. Please submit registration fees and all applicable forms by June 10th, 2012 to the church office in care of Karen DeLong, Summer Camp. Make checks out to Unity Village Chapel with summer camp in the memo field.
We are preparing to start our summer program, "Lumindorf" lessons from the "Harry Potter" books. A closer look reveals wonderfully imaginative stories that point us to a higher use of our own powers. As in all good spiritual stories (The Bible, Wizard of Oz, Star Wars...) the characters lead us through their unusual and sometime difficult spiritual journey. We find that their story is our story as well. This curriculum uses some of the events in Harry's life to come to a greater understanding of our own spiritual gifts and powers.
Our summer program for the little ones is called "Fishy Tales"--metaphysical teachings found in the journey of Marlin, Dory & Nemo. The children will explore the idea that God is with us through every adventure in our life. The Spirit of God is within us always, and understanding that when we live in the flow of Spirit, we know that God is all good and everywhere present.
YOUTH OF UNITY (YOU)
Our baked potato bar was a big success we would like to thank everyone that attended for your generous support.
Please join use on Sunday June 3 for our "Ice Cream Social" we will have all the toppings to make your favorite sundae or perhaps a root beer float. Proceeds support YOU.
On June 21-24, the YOU will be traveling to Oklahoma for the big Bi-Regional Rally. We are excited to attend this spiritually charged event while basking in the love and fellowship of other YOU chapters.
Lastly we would like to congratulate our graduating Seniors: Lisha Schwensen, Logan Free and David Anderson. We will miss you & wish you ALL the very best! We Love, Bless, and Appreciate you!

UNITEEN NEWS
Jason and Christina Kirschner, Uniteens Leaders
We invite youth in 6th-8th grade to join us on Sunday morning at 10:30. We are studying "Bring on the Basics" curriculum which helps preteens examine, through using Unity's Five Basic Principles, their beliefs about God and how their choices create their world.
We are preparing to start "Lumindorf" curriculum based on the "Harry Potter" book series. We will start this fun adventure on June 3rd. This is a journey into our lives, discovering our power within and how, as we grow spiritually our lives become magical.
