WEEKLY UPDATE June 24, 2025 | |
June is Pride Month, a time when the LGBTQIA+ community and those who consider themselves allies come together in celebration. Pride is about building community, celebrating authenticity, and embracing your divine expression.
These affirmations are intended to help you celebrate Pride and to remind you how worthy, loved, and extraordinary you are. Journal with them, put them somewhere you will see them every day, meditate with them, or simply say them aloud to yourself.
Love: I am loved for who I am.
Self-Worth: Releasing shame, doubt, and fear, I reveal the light within me.
Spiritual: I am a vibrant and unique expression of the one divine presence of the universe.
Community: Despite any perceived differences we might have, we are all one.
Remember during Pride Month and beyond, you are worthy, you are loved, and you are a beautiful and unique expression of the one divine presence of the universe.

Join us this Sunday when Carylanne Steinberg will be our guest speaker, sharing her talk on the Divine Feminine. Carylanne explains, "The Divine Feminine rising invites us to awaken the qualities of intuition, healing, emotional depth, and creativity, and integrate them with the Divine Masculine for balance and, most importantly, Wholeness".
Carylanne’s spiritual journey began at a young age, through synchronistic events that led her to seek God, Christ, Angels, Divine wisdom and the power and beauty of nature. She had an awakening in her 20s that dramatically changed her life course, directing her into the arena of holistic healing & health, intuition, energy medicine, meditation, prayer, and Divine service.
She loves empowering people to live from their divine essence. She believes in love and gratitude as the foundations of life and loves music, dance, nature, prayer and dark chocolate. Visit her at www.Carylanne.com.
Platform Assistant: Bob Osmon
Chaplain: Rev. Maria Nouel
Greeter: Jane Siegel

The sunlight that awakens me on a summer morning is bright and encouraging. Its radiance beckons me into a day of abundant possibilities.
The indwelling light of God is constant. It leads me on a path to my highest good, providing direction when I am unsure what to do. To find this inner light, I center my heart and mind on the love of God; my path becomes clear. I live in the light of God.

Sunday’s service with Rev. Paula Mekdeci and Richard Mekdeci was filled with powerful energy and deep inspiration. Rev. Paula’s talk on The Gospel of The Beloved Companion gave us a beautiful glimpse into this sacred text. There was quite a buzz afterward about starting a book study—if you’re interested in joining that journey, please let Canda or me know.
We also held a productive Board meeting following service. Updates included planning upcoming events, continuing efforts to improve our Sunday service experience, and diagnosing the long-standing issues with our wired sound system. We're also launching the Angel Board in July and increasing outreach to let the broader community know that our beautiful space is available for weddings, celebrations of life, concerts, and more.
As always, we are grateful for the many hearts and hands that help UWSC grow and thrive. We remain committed to being faithful stewards of the resources we receive.
Finally, in a world full of pain and division, let us remember our sacred role: to be the living Christ Consciousness in action. As pebbles of peace, our energy ripples out. May we each affirm, “Peace begins with me.”
Namaste,
A
