WEEKLY UPDATE October 1, 2024 | |
My heart is beating in the peace of God.
Surrounding me is all the life that God created in His Love. It calls to me in every heartbeat and in every breath, in every action and in every thought. Peace fills my heart and floods my body with the purpose of forgiveness. Now my mind is healed, and all I need to save the world is given me. Each heartbeat brings me peace; each breath infuses me with strength. I am a messenger of God, directed by His Voice, sustained by Him in love, and held forever quiet and at peace within His loving Arms. Each heartbeat calls his Name, and every one is answered by His Voice, assuring me I am at home in Him.
Let me attend Your Answer, not my own. Father, my heart is beating in the peace the Heart of Love created. It is there and only there that I can be at home.

This Sunday, Joshua Inacio will be our guest speaker. Joshua is a gifted channel, from England, who devotes his life and body to be an instrument for God's love and will. He is an accomplished sound and vibrational healer who works with groups and individuals. Joshua shares, "I am in grateful service to support the freedom of humanity through healing, growth and expansion. I am a spiritual teacher, channel and vibrational sound healer. I blend over 20 years of metaphysical experience with my devotion to spirit and humanity. I have always felt it is important to give people the opportunity to have a direct experience with spirit, to make energy relevant, tangible and applicable. I am grateful to share my work channeling, with sound and vibrational healing, groups, workshops and public speaking."
Joshua is offering a workshop after the Sunday service, at 12:30 p.m., entitled "Sound, Alchemy & Your Divine Blueprint". Scroll down to see the flyer with all the details.

When I think of the word community, I may picture a group of people united in a common cause or a small town in which neighbors help and support one another. In this time of instant news, emails, and texts, the means of creating community may have changed, but it still involves people connecting with one another.
Today I remind myself of the value of community. I identify the communities that help and support me—my spiritual community, my neighborhood, my workplace, clubs or groups to which I belong, and my town or city. I am also part of the world community. Living together on this planet, we can assist and support each other in peace and love every day. Let us be one community!

Message from the Board
On Sunday, Rev. Washington shared his message about the importance of community in not just surviving but thriving. What a great reminder as we head into this Sunday!
On Sunday, October 6, immediately after service, the Board will hold a brief congregational meeting to review our current finances. We will also be announcing the declared candidates for the part-time Spiritual Leader position and explaining how the congregation can share their input for consideration by the Board during the selection process. So that we don't keep folks too much past the normal end of service time, we will be shortening our Sunday service a bit to accommodate this important congregational meeting! If you are able, please plan on attending! The 1st Sunday pot luck will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
~Peace be with you, A

In recent weeks, we have been asked to provide an easier, non-cash way for our visitors to give love offerings. While we do have a PayPal link, PayPal requires an account to be setup before using this method of donating and it deducts a fee from the gifted amount. So we are rolling out a trial of a new donation method and would LOVE to have your feedback!
Zeffy is a fee-free donation portal specifically for non-profits. This means 100% of your love offering comes to UWSC. There will be cards with the scannable QR codes in the Sanctuary on Sunday like the one pictured. By scanning the QR code, you are taken to a donation page where you can choose a one time or recurring donation and amount. You do not need to create an account. Once you submit your donation, you will receive an immediate "Thank You" email with a downloadable tax-deductible donation receipt for your records.
So give it a try and let the Board know what you think!
