New! CS7500 Streaming 2-Channel Preamplifier

The McIntosh Laboratory Inc. CS7500 Streaming Preamplifier brings together state‑of‑the‑art streaming and expert preamplification in one uncompromising component – combining the roles of a dedicated preamplifier and network streamer in an unmistakable McIntosh design. Serving as the centerpiece of your system, the CS7500 lets you choose the power amplifier that best suits your needs today while providing the freedom to grow and refine your system over time.

Whether rediscovering a classic song or streaming something entirely exciting and new, the CS7500 ensures each listening session feels intentional and connected – between artist, system, and listener. Every detail, every part, every element of its design exists to preserve what matters most: music's ability to move, inspire, and connect us.

Built-in support for Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect (including Spotify Lossless), and TIDAL® Connect (including TIDAL Max) allows music to stream directly from each service to the CS7500. This direct connection bypasses your phone or smart device and avoids unnecessary audio compression, ensuring that the highest available audio signal reaches your system. Your smart device becomes a simple, intuitive remote control, with no need for additional complex apps – just use the Connect option in the native Qobuz, Spotify, or TIDAL app interfaces you already know.

In addition, music stored on your devices can be streamed via Apple AirPlay, Bluetooth, or Google Cast, bringing all of your streaming sources together in one cohesive platform. You can also listen to your TV's audio output with the HDMI (ARC) input, seamlessly connecting your TV to a higher standard of sound.

The Absolute Sound Reviews

The Remarkable Innuos Stream3

In this video, online reviewer Matt Coykendall of The Absolute Sound reviews the Innuos Stream3 network player. He dives into the Stream3, comparing two other streamer units with different optional on-board DACs—one of which costs $3,150 more than the other.

He discusses the Digital Output Module Bay's significance, the meticulous design and assembly of Innuos products in Portugal, and the Stream3's impressive technical specifications.

He also explores the Sense app for seamless music control, its compatibility with various streaming services, and the crucial role of minimizing electrical noise for achieving the best sound quality.

He is very impressed with their quality of build, components, and software. It has 2.5 x the processing speed of the previous models. He carefully explains the available modules to perfectly meet the needs now and in the future for the owner of the Stream3.

The Nordost Norse Series represents the heart of Nordost’s cable offerings — a bridge between high-performance and reference-level audio. Over the years, Nordost cables have evolved alongside advances in cable design and emerging technologies.

Norse 3 is the next step in that evolution, taking a holistic approach that considers the system as an ecosystem rather than simply a collection of components in close proximity. The Norse 3 Series brings together advances in cable geometry, innovative technologies, and precision construction techniques, working in concert to control and optimize the environment in which the cables operate.

By addressing every aspect of cable performance as part of a unified system, Norse 3 is designed to maximize the potential of the entire audio system. Norse 3 is comprised of three familiar, yet comprehensively upgraded ranges: Heimdall 3, Frey 3, and Tyr 3.

For a limited time, we offer the NORSE 3 Cable Trade-Up Program. Bring in your old Flatline, Lief, or Norse series to trade up to Norse 3! You will receive up to 75% off toward the purchase of Norse 3. Come in today and save by trading up now at University Audio!

Introducing the NAD C 359S and C 569

Two New Additions to the NAD Classic Series

Today, NAD Electronics is proud to announce two new additions to the Classic Series, the C 359S Integrated Amplifier and C 569 CD Player. Built on the principles NAD was founded on, the C 359S pairs re-engineered Class AB amplification with BluOS streaming, and the C 569 CD Player draws more depth and detail from every disc. Together, they give your customers a modern hi-fi system that is simple to live with and makes no compromise sound.

NAD C 359S Integrated Amplifier

The C 359S brings the classic NAD integrated amplifier experience into a modern design. A re-engineered Class AB amplifier, powered by a high-current, low-noise switch mode supply derived from NAD’s flagship platform, delivers 2 x 70 watts into 8 ohms.

BluOS is built in for hi-res streaming and multi-room audio, alongside HDMI eARC, aptX HD Bluetooth, a phono input and a subwoofer output with optional high-pass filtering.

Availability: October 15 - MSRP $1299

NAD C 569 CD Player

Joining the entry-level C 538 and flagship C 589, the C 569 is built for customers whose CD collections deserve to be heard at the highest quality. NAD’s Dynamic Digital Headroom eliminates inter-sampling clipping for cleaner, harder-hitting transients, while QRONO d2a refines timing and resolution.

An ESS SABRE DAC, improved op-amps and a refined power supply preserve low-level detail. With analog and digital outputs, it’s a natural partner for the C 359S.

Available: Mid-November - MSRP $999
