The University City Trumpet

“I don’t believe the U.S. is a democracy anymore. I believe it’s a fascist state.”

Democratic congressional nominee in Philadelphia's Third District, Chris Rabb. These Democrats are getting crazier and crazier.

We are sending this information out pre-election to all Republicans. We publish this newsletter regularly throughout the year. If you would like to be placed on our regular mailing list, email us at Matthew@Wolfe.org.

We also need Republicans who want to get involved. We need committeepeople, election board workers and volunteers in general. If interested, contact Matt Wolfe at the email above or (215) 387-7300 or Denise Furey at Denise.Furey@Wolfe.org or (215) 266-4121.

ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY: If you have not voted by mail, please vote Tuesday. Polls are open from 7AM-8PM. If you have received a mail ballot but have not returned it, you have options. You can complete it and drop it off at any election office or dropbox by 8PM Tuesday. IF IT IS NOT RETURNED BY 8PM IT WILL NOT BE COUNTED. To find the one convenient to you go to this link: Locations. You can bring your mail ballot with the envelope to your polling place and turn it in. They will then let you vote on the voting machine. If you cannot locate your mail ballot, you can vote by provisional ballot. Here is how to find your polling place: Polling Places

CANDIDATE WEBSITES: If you are in the 192nd State House District in West Philly, support Tiffany Vann.

While we are based in West Philly, we recognize that this newsletter goes to other areas. If you are in the 5th Congressional District, vote for Nick Manganaro for Congress. If you are in the 2nd Congressional District, support Jessica Arriaga for Congress. For State Senate we have Rev. Todd Johnson running for State Senate in the 4th District. Vote for State Representative Martina White in the 170th District, Robyn Bird in the 177th District and Bill Griffin in the 173rd District. There are areas there where we did not field candidates, so if there is a blank, write-in a Republican.

IMPORTANT NOTE: On our sample ballot for the 3rd Congressional District, there is no Republican candidate. We had one candidate circulate nomination petitions, but we were unable to obrain enough signatures for him to qualfy. We had another candidate run a write-in campaign, but he also did not get enough votes to receive the nomination. We greatly appreciate the efforts of both of them. State Representative Chris Rabb is the Democratic nominee and the only candidate against him is Dennis Mahoney, who is running on the Independent Party. Part of the Republican Party's responsibility is to provide voters with alternatives, starting with candidates. We failed to do that for this seat this year, regardless of the efforts of our candidates. It is, however, a binary choice. Mr. Mahoney is not a Republican and we disagree with many of his policy positions. That being said, he is much closer to sane than his opponent. Think about voting for him. If you disagree with our recommendation, go head and write someone in. We think that Rabb is clearly the wrong choice for Philadelphia.

BALLOT QUESTIONS: QUESTION 1: Since the City came to its senses and stopped discriminating against contractors based on their gender and race, they want to allow themselves to discriminate for other reasons. Ever think of ONLY considering price and value? VOTE NO.

QUESTION 2: They want to create a new agency under the city charter that they could create without a charter change to pander to some group or another. Doesn't matter what agency it is. VOTE NO.

REGISTER TO VOTE: It is never too early to register to vote Republican. A Democrat who has come to your senses? An independent who wants to actually make a difference? Changed your address? Changed your name? CLICK HERE TO REGISTER REPUBLICAN. Don't care about Philadelphia? Think it's a good idea to defund the police? Have open borders? Have boys who identify as girls dominating girls sports? OK with high taxes either because you don't pay 'em or because you're rich? Think government knows better than you and are willing to give up liberty so you don't have to think? CLICK HERE TO REGISTER DEMOCRATIC.

The University City Trumpet is a publication of the University City Republican Committee in Philadelphia. It is published whenever we want to publish it and it contains whatever we want to put in it, although generally it contains information that we think will be of interest to Republicans in University City. Feel free to pass it along to a friend (or to an enemy). If you want to be put on our subscription list or want to be taken off, let us know at Matthew@Wolfe.org. Copyright 2026
