UTSA is responding to the COVID-19 outbreak with a commitment to supporting the safety of the university community while enabling the academic progress of students. Here is your digest of university news and tips.
FINANCIAL RESOURCES: If you are facing financial hardship due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, be sure to visit our new page featuring Financial Assistance Resources for UTSA Students. It includes instructions on how to apply for emergency funds as well as information on several other university and community resources available to help you.
SPRING COMMENCEMENT PLANS: To ensure everyone’s well-being while honoring graduating students, the university will hold virtual Spring Commencement ceremonies the weekend of May 23–24. A plan is being developed for an in-person celebration to honor graduating students once large public gatherings are allowed. Check out the details on UTSA’s Commencement page.
SHOW YOUR SUPPORT: It’s National Collegiate Recovery Day. Take a picture of yourself wearing purple and post it on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook and tag @UTSArecovery to show your fellow Roadrunners who are in recovery your support.
ALL ABOUT CONNECTIONS: This week’s virtual town hall meetings will help you stay connected with friends and experts.

SUMMER SUCCESS STRATEGIES: For those of you who are teaching or graduate assistants, Academic Innovation is hosting a new series of webinars on resources and best practices for quality online teaching to ensure accessibility, student engagement and effective course management. You can also explore the Remote Teaching Resources page for additional guidance.
STAY WELL: The university’s Student Health Services is offering telemedicine appointments via the MyMed Patient Portal to all currently enrolled students. Services are available weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
