UTSA is committed to supporting the university community during remote learning and operations. Here is your digest of university news and tips.
EMERGENCY AID UPDATE: UTSA is fast-tracking the distribution of emergency aid from the federal CARES Act to support students in need, awarding grants to more than 2,500 students to help cover expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
GUIDE UTSA’S SPIRIT: The university is seeking students for the Spirit Advisory Board. This is a brand new of leadership roles that will have the unique opportunity to reconstruct a sponsored organization that promotes university spirit and pride on campus. Applications are available on RowdyLink.

LAUREL VILLAGE CHAT: Join this session to get well-being tips, just gather with some friends, or ask the attending Counseling and Mental Health Services counselor anything. Join the chat via Zoom. Tuesday, May 12, 4 p.m.

TAKE A BREAK AND DESTRESS: The Student Union and Counseling and Mental Health Services are teaming up to bring you Guided Meditation. Join the live session with a counselor to learn how to practice mindfulness during final exams. No experience necessary, but visit the event page to register and get instructions. Thursday, May 14, noon.

GROUP IS IN SESSION: You can join in for any of the support groups from Counseling and Mental Health Services. Connect with the Survivors Group via Zoom to learn about trauma, ways to cope and more while you get the opportunity to connect with other Roadrunners. TIME TO RHYME: Are you a poet and definitely know it? Counseling and Mental Health Services invites you to participate in the poetry contest "Let's Write About It!" Create a short poem about hope, looking forward or finishing strong and DM it to the team via social media for a chance to win some swag and have your poem highlighted on social media. One entry per student via Twitter or Instagram or Facebook and may the best poet win. Submissions accepted until Thursday, May 14.
