An innovative new bachelor's degree will be launched next fall to meet the growing demand for professionals across all industries.
Shaydaih Williams of Newark, a junior majoring in public health, is named 2019 Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellow.
Mojahed “Moe” Hamdeh of Wayne, a senior majoring in finance and professional sales, won the $3,000 first prize in the University’s eighth annual Pitch Tank Competition for “Employ Me!,” an app that connects entry-level potential employees to employers in their area.
Discounted tickets to the April 25, 2019 gala are still available for faculty and staff; all proceeds benefit student scholarships.
Powers, an avid climber, says one of the motivations behind his trip has been watching the intensity and hard work of so many first-generation students. As part of this climbing experience, he will be making a $1,000 donation to the University's Foundation to support students in need.
"This was on my bucket list of things to do," says Robin Schwartz, professor of visual arts in the College of the Arts and Communication , whose photographs of rescued foxes from fur farms were recently featured in National Geographic.
"We're proud to highlight the scope and quality of research, scholarship and creative expression that exists across the WP community," says Sandra DeYoung, acting provost and senior vice president for academic affairs.
“This symposium offers critical information about cyber crime protection against ransomware, data theft, malware, and more, as well as strategies for remediation,” says Bernadette Tiernan, executive director of the School of Continuing and Professional Education at William Paterson.
The U niversity’s Bowling Team, a club sport, is one of 16 top teams in the country to qualify for the nationals in Dayton, Ohio from April 18 to 20.
Professors Tom Heinzen, psychology, and Kathleen Odell Korgen, sociology, are two of ten authors to receive the 2019 Most Promising New College Textbook award.
