WHAT is the University of Scouting?
The University of Scouting is a fun-filled, hands-on opportunity designed to help you and your Scouts gain skills to improve your Scouting experience. This one-day supplemental training event is created for all Cub Scout, Scouts BSA, Exploring and Venturing leaders as well as BSA Scouts interested in Den Chief Training and Merit Badges. Sessions are led by professionals and volunteers who will enhance your ability to show your Scouts more adventure, make you a more effective leader, and keep your Scouts engaged.
WHO should attend?
All Scouts and Adult Volunteers are invited to attend. This includes Scouts BSA, Cub Scouts, and Venturing Leaders, Commissioners, District and Council Level Volunteers, and all other Scout Volunteers. We will also be offering a full day of Cub Scout Activities for kids grades K-5, so please bring the whole family!
FEE IS $20 PER ATTENDEE or $10 PER CUB SCOUT
Includes entire program, patch, and a full catered lunch.
You MUST preregister to attend!
Free Camping
Traveling from out of town? Camp Merz will be available free of charge for all UofS registrants. Camp as a family, or make this into a GREAT Fall Campout for your Scout Troop or Cub Pack! Camp Merz is about 20-25 minute drive to the Fredonia Campus. Information is on the website at www.scoutinguniversity.org.
Registration is now open for University of Scouting. Course Selection for specific merit badges and trainings will open September 5th. Please register early!
