University of Tennessee Organic Crops Field Tour: October 26th!

Join Southern SAWG and a couple hundred other farmers, researchers, and farm service providers in Knoxville, TN at the University of Tennessee's Organic Crops Field Tour. UT has put together an excellent program packed with practical information on profitable vegetable production, cut flower production, packing house design, beekeeping and much more! Plus, Steve Muntz, Southern SAWG's Executive Director will be the keynote speaker for the event. The field tour will also feature a packed exhibit tent that will provide a host of valuable resources of interest to farmers and organizations that assist farmers. This is a great opportunity to get up to speed on some of the latest work in organic production and research in Tennessee and connect with others in the region who are working on similar issues.

The field tour will take place at the University of Tennessee's Organic Research Farm/Organic Crops Unit located at 7315 Government Farm Road, Knoxville, just off John Sevier Highway. This 90-acre farm has 21 acres in production, 14 of which are certified organic. The facility includes seven high tunnels, a greenhouse and a packing house.
