The 2025-2026 FAFSA form is now available!

Students need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form to be eligible for federal student aid such as federal grants, work-study funds, and loans. Completing and submitting the FAFSA form is free and easier than ever, and it gives you access to the largest source of aid to help you pay for college or career school.

UWA expands nurse education to College of Nursing

At its quarterly meeting held in December, the University Board of Trustees approved a change of name for the Ira D. Pruitt Division of Nursing to the Ira D. Pruitt College of Nursing.

UWA’s Respiratory Therapy Program ready to accept students for Spring 2025

The University of West Alabama is moving forward with its new health sciences comprehensive respiratory therapy track and is accepting students in January for the Spring 2025 semester.

Dr. Jacob Snyder serves as an associate professor at UWA, leading a new degree in the College of Liberal Arts: Politics and Justice. He envisions the degree as a steppingstone for students interested in law and politics.
