How do we do that?
Be prepared.
If you are going to vote your biblical values you must know how your values will be affected within each office that is open for election.
For example:
School boards have a direct link to our schools curriculum choices, they affect library content, and they affect policies and procedures that can either honor parents rights or shut them out.
A lawmaking office effects the laws of our state that can directly affect our values of life, family, and religious freedom.
A city councilor has the power to effect policy, procedure, and budgetary items for your community. If you remember not too long ago, an Albuquerque city councilor introduced and was able to pass a sponsorship of $250,000 for Planned Parenthood. That directly affected our biblical value of life yet our tax dollars were used to fund that sponsorship.
A Mayoral office is the executive branch of your community and oversees the community's government offices and law enforcement. As the leader at the top of your community, you need someone who will honor our biblical values and how they might be effected in any given situation.
Any elected official that holds an office has a responsibility to the people. As a voter, you must consider the candidate that you believe will operate in a manner that honors the values of the people they represent - You!
